Production - Industrial production decreased 0.2 percent in
March after an increase of 0.8 percent in February. Output in
the manufacturing sector moved up 0.7 percent in March; the
increase was led by advances in the production of durable goods.
The output of utilities dropped 7.0 percent, largely reversing
its February jump of 7.6 percent, as temperatures swung from

April 4, 2007 - The Federal Reserve Board on Wednesday announced
final revisions to its 1980 interpretation of Regulation D,
which sets forth criteria for the "bankers' bank" exemption from
reserve requirements. The revisions authorize the Board to
determine, on a case by case basis, whether certain entities not
already expressly authorized in the interpretation may become
customers of bankers' banks to a limited extent.

- The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation is alerting the
public to questionable solicitations directed at homeowners.
Consumers have contacted the FDIC with questions and complaints
after receiving solicitations suggesting there is a "Community
Reinvestment Act Program" that entitles certain homeowners to
cash grants or equity disbursements.
