- Industrial production increased 0.4 percent in July; output in
June was revised down and is now estimated to have decreased 0.5
percent. Utilities output fell noticeably in both months. In
manufacturing, a production gain of 0.6 percent in July more than
reversed the previous month's decline. Mining output also moved
back up in July after a decline in June.
