October 17, 2011 - Industrial production increased 0.2 percent in September after having been unchanged in August. Previously, industrial production was reported to have stepped up 0.2 percent in August. For the third quarter as a whole, industrial production rose at an annual rate of 5.1 percent. Manufacturing output moved up 0.4 percent in September after having gained 0.3 percent in August. October 11, 2011 - FDIC Issues Enforcement Actions Against Former Officers of the Failed United Commercial Bank, San Francisco, California - The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation today announced that it is seeking to remove and prohibit from further participation in the banking industry ten former officers of United Commercial Bank, San Francisco, California. October 11, 2011 - FDIC Board Announces Projected Deposit Insurance Fund Losses, Income, and Reserve Ratios for the Restoration Plan - The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation today updated its loss, income, and reserve ratio projections for the Deposit Insurance Fund (DIF) over the next several years.
